Job summary

ABB seeks an on-site Maintenance Technician in Athens, GA to support plant facilities and equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read technical diagrams, and engage in daily reporting to your supervisor.

The role requires physical work and the ability to operate in an industrial manufacturing setting, including shift work as needed. Reading blueprints, following manuals in English, and applying mechanical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience or certification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams/instructions in English.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for plant facilities and equipment.
• Maintain proficiency with computer and maintenance technology.
• Respond to plant emergencies and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Read and interpret blueprints/schematics and other internal docs.
• Report daily activities to supervisor or team.
