Job summary

Atrium Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations for a well-established manufacturing client in the Chicago Heights area. The role leads a maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability, maximize uptime, and uphold safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate maintenance planning, and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to enable meeting production goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of maintenance supervisory experience in manufacturing or processing environments.
Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs (PM/PdM).
Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning and tracking.
Understanding of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Demonstrated leadership in coaching and developing maintenance teams.
Strong understanding of industrial safety practices in maintenance operations.
Experience planning, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating maintenance activities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with Operations, Engineering, contractors, and maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities

Promote and enforce a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct safety training, job hazard reviews, and support a safe working environment for employees and contractors.
Ensure maintenance activities align with quality, regulatory, and food safety standards.
Plan and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations personnel and third-party contractors.
Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians and other maintenance personnel.
Investigate equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Manage major equipment shutdowns, outages, and maintenance projects.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to achieve production and maintenance objectives.
