Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to provide maintenance, clerical, and administrative planning services across production areas. You will work with maintenance personnel to prioritize work orders, track budgets, and align schedules with operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of manufacturing experience in maintenance and operations.
• Experience with corrugated manufacturing equipment and processes preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities; adaptable in a fast-paced plant.

Responsibilities

• Screen and approve CMMS work orders to prioritize maintenance resources.
• Manage and track maintenance budgets with explanations for variances.
• Monitor maintenance schedules to avoid conflicts with production.
• Prioritize non-emergency work orders and plan daily/weekly schedules.
• Identify parts and plan/budget for necessary maintenance parts.
• Maintain planned work order backlog and use it to schedule work.
• Approve work orders for accuracy of coding and descriptions.
• Develop knowledge of production equipment through on-floor engagement.
• Represent the maintenance perspective within the operating department.
• Collaborate with technicians and supervisors to assess feasibility and safety.
• Communicate with production and maintenance teams to resolve issues and gather feedback.
• Participate in production meetings to review upcoming work and outages.
