Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our 1st Shift Maintenance team at our Solon, OH facility.

Shift hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Summary: To perform complex repairs, under minimal supervision, to maintain on-site machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities include:

1. Troubleshoot, perform complex repairs, and set up equipment across all production areas.
2. Diagnose problems and disassemble, replace, and reassemble machinery.
3. Train and supervise junior mechanics and inspect their work.
4. Manage changeovers, testing, and adjustments to ensure proper controls.
5. Perform routine and preventative maintenance following schedules.
6. Handle electrical, plumbing, welding, and carpentry duties.
7. Operate machine tools and create fixtures and parts as needed.
8. Interpret drawings and schematics to identify issues and determine corrective actions.
9. Use a multimeter for troubleshooting electrical systems.
10. Complete paperwork related to activities and projects.
11. Initiate work orders and report abnormal machine conditions.
12. Perform other duties as necessary.

Pay Rate: $28 - $33 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED and 3-5 years of technical trade experience.
• Experience with controls (PLC, Air Logic), electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot I/O controls with a multimeter.
• Physical ability to stand/walk nearly 100%, lift 50+ pounds, and perform bending, climbing, and twisting.
• Experience with motorized equipment is desirable.
• Dexterity for grasping, pulling, pushing, and twisting.
• Ability to work in environments with heat, cold, dust, chemicals, noise, and heights.
