Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Company Description: Our client, a leading nutraceutical pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a skilled and innovative Production Maintenance Mechanic to play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes and ensuring product quality.

Fulltime Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm

1. Responds to service requests as needed, utilizing resources to effectively repair and ensure the safety and availability of the company systems and equipment.
2. Performs the job functions in compliance with safety, health, environmental, and governmental regulations.
3. Supports Production with machine setups as needed to accomplish daily goals.
4. Ensures the plant is clean and free of debris or clutter.
5. Operates, adjusts, and performs maintenance on packaging equipment, such as tablet counters, conveyors, printers, cartoners, and other equipment to ensure compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
6. Performs record-keeping functions (CMMS), documenting maintenance work performed and recording unusual operating conditions.
7. Performs various tests on mechanical and electrical equipment (Amperage, Volts, resistance).
8. Contributes to the department's efficiency by offering suggestions and participating as an active team member to accomplish goals and objectives.
9. Understands and learns SOPs, GMP, safety guidelines, and completes all required documentation.
10. Evaluates equipment and machine operations, removing and repairing various equipment and components.
11. Supports the installation of new equipment.
12. Repairs hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies.
13. Performs other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree, trade school certificate, or military technical training is a plus. Equivalent work experience may substitute for technical/vocational training.
• College or formal technical school education with demonstrated aptitude and skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and welding techniques. One to two years in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in the maintenance industry, preferably in a GMP environment.
• Must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Must have legible handwriting and the ability to perform accurate documentation.
• Must have good basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of following instructions and multitasking.
• Familiarity with safety protocols associated with lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and set priorities.
• Proficient with computer systems.
