Job summary

VantageSpecialtyChemicals in Englewood, Ohio, seeks a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering functions for multiple sites, ensuring safe, reliable operations of manufacturing equipment and facilities.

You will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, project engineers, production engineers and CI engineers, driving preventive, predictive, and capital projects with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, engineering, or operations in batch manufacturing facilities.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in reliability analysis and maintenance strategies.
• Experience managing capital projects and process improvements across multiple sites.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage maintenance technicians and engineers, providing coaching and performance management.
• Lead reliability analysis programs and improve equipment reliability.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance at both sites.
• Partner with engineering teams on process improvement and capital projects.
• Drive continuous improvement culture through Lean, Six Sigma and CI initiatives.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, GMP, ISO and internal safety standards.
