Job summary

VantageSpecialtyChemicals in Englewood, Ohio seeks a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering functions for personal care, food, and pharmaceutical products. The role drives reliability, capital projects, and CI initiatives across two sites.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in plant maintenance/engineering in batch manufacturing, with strong Lean/Six Sigma experience and CMMS proficiency. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7-10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, engineering, or operations in batch manufacturing for personal care, food, or pharma products.
• Strong knowledge in reliability analysis, mechanical integrity, preventive/predictive/corrective maintenance, and CMMS usage.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage maintenance technicians, project engineers, production engineers, and CI engineers, with coaching and performance management.
• Lead reliability analysis programs and implement strategies to improve equipment reliability and integrity.
• Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for plant equipment and facilities at both sites.
• Partner with engineering teams to support process improvement, automation, and capital project execution across both sites.
• Drive continuous improvement culture via Lean, Six Sigma, and CI initiatives.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for capital projects.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with OSHA, FDA, GMP, ISO, and internal safety standards.
• Communicate maintenance performance and CI results to corporate leadership.
