Job summary

Hydranautics, part of the Nitto Group, seeks a machine operator in Oceanside, CA to set up and shut down production equipment. You will prepare materials, load and unload, and monitor output to meet quality standards.

Under supervision, you will record product data, follow 5S and safety policies, and work with a team to maintain productivity.

Candidates should have at least six months manufacturing experience and a high school diploma or GED, with basic English reading and math skills.

Qualifications

• Six months manufacturing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Set-up, operate and make minor adjustments to machines.
• Basic to intermediate language skills in English; read work instructions in English.
• Work independently and in a team; adapt to changing priorities.
• Recognize numbers and millimeters; perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operates machine to seal the cage outerwrap and inspect for damage.
• Seals cage outerwrap to feed spacer on end seal lines.
• Trims leaves with scissors and ensures proper serial number placement.
• Verifies glue ratio and placement per Manufacturing SOPs.
• Loads/unloads product from transport to machines for tasks.
• Meets daily/weekly productivity goals and keeps station clean per 5S.
• Documents production data in logs/reports; records defects or scraps.
• Notifies supervisor of rising defect patterns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
