Job summary

Jabil is seeking experienced Manufacturing Line Leads for a Florence, Kentucky location. The role coordinates line workload, ensures workmanship standards, and drives continuous improvement while maintaining accurate documentation and timely training.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 3 years in manufacturing and at least 1 year in supervision, with strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. The position offers competitive shift schedules and full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; an Associates degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate line workload and staffing based on product priority.
• Ensure workmanship standards are met and CIQ system monitored to fix issues promptly.
• Minimize changeover times through organized and planned changeovers.
• Minimize excess material on floor; ensure proper stocking and availability of supplies.
• Verify documentation is accurate and current on the line.
• Inform or instruct employees of deviations or changes.
• Provide timely feedback to line personnel to motivate performance.
• Drive continuous improvement in responsibilities and ensure deadlines are met.

Shift schedules are as follows:

• Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday 6am-6pm (shift 401)
• Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday 6pm-6am (shift 402) - offers 15% shift differential
• Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm (shift 403)
• Wednesday/Thursday - Saturday 6am-6pm (shift 404) - offers 15% shift differential

How will you make an impact?

• Coordinates with Assembly Line Supervisor and organizes line workload and staffing depending on product priority.
• Ensures work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards and monitors the CIQ system closely in order to fix repetitive and recognized problems immediately.
• Minimize changeover times through organized and well-planned changeovers.
• Minimizes excess material on floor; ensure proper stockage and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
• Verifies that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available on the line.
• Informs or instructs employees of any deviations or changes.
• Notifies Manufacturing Supervisor immediately regarding all employee problems, concerns and recommendations.
• Strives for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
• Ensures line personnel are thoroughly trained, certified and are performing their assigned functions.
• Motivates and challenges all line members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal feedback.
• Tracks production and ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.
• Reviews all relevant policies and procedures issued to the line and ensure that appropriate employees read, understand, and adhere to them.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma Required, Associates Degree preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Advanced PC skills, including training.
