Job summary

Jabil in Florence, Kentucky is seeking Manufacturing Line Leads to organize line workload and staffing for assembly operations across multiple shifts, prioritizing product demand.

You will ensure workmanship standards and closely monitor the CIQ system to fix recurring problems, optimize changeovers, and maintain smooth production flow. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate line workload and staffing based on product priority.
• Ensure workmanship standards are met and monitor CIQ to fix issues promptly.
• Minimize changeover times with organized transitions.
• Minimize excess material and ensure availability of supplies/equipment.
• Verify accurate, current documentation on the line.
• Provide guidance to employees on deviations or changes.
• Report employee problems to supervision as needed.
• Support continuous improvement across responsibilities.
• Ensure line personnel are trained and certified.
• Motivate staff with timely feedback and track production schedules.

Jabil is growing and we are seeking experienced Manufacturing Line Leads to work in one of our locations in Florence, Kentucky. We have needs for multiple different shifts.

Shift schedules are as follows:

• - Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday 6am-6pm (shift 401)
• - Sunday-Tuesday/Wednesday 6pm-6am (shift 402) - offers 15% shift differential
• - Wednesday/Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm (shift 403)
• - Wednesday/Thursday - Saturday 6am-6pm (shift 404) - offers 15% shift differential

How will you make an impact?

As the Manufacturing Line Lead with Jabil, you will organize the workload for the line, as well as staffing for assembly operations depending on product priority.

What will you do?

• - Coordinates with Assembly Line Supervisor and organizes line workload and staffing depending on product priority.
• - Ensures work meets or exceeds Jabil workmanship standards and monitors the CIQ system closely in order to fix repetitive and recognized problems immediately.
• - Minimize changeover times through organized and well-planned changeovers.
• - Minimizes excess material on floor; ensure proper stockage and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
• - Verifies that only accurate, current, and authorized documentation is available on the line.
• - Informs or instructs employees of any deviations or changes.
• - Notifies Manufacturing Supervisor immediately regarding all employee problems, concerns and recommendations.
• - Strives for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
• - Ensures line personnel are thoroughly trained, certified and are performing their assigned functions.
• - Motivates and challenges all line members to perform to their full potential through direct and timely formal and informal feedback.
• - Tracks production and ensure all deadlines and schedules are met.
• - Reviews all relevant policies and procedures issued to the line and ensure that appropriate employees read, understand, and adhere to them.
• - May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• - High School Diploma Required, Associate's Degree preferred.
• - A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• - At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• - Advanced PC skills, including training.
