Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Hampton, VA is seeking a Manufacturing Leader to direct day-to-day shop-floor operations and drive manufacturing excellence. You will lead CI initiatives, optimize safety, quality, and productivity, and collaborate to meet business-unit objectives.

Location options include Hampton IGT or Hampton Structural, with on-site responsibilities. You will mentor supervisors, manage budgets, and work with cross-functional teams to shorten cycle times and improve delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years in manufacturing and 2+ years in supervision.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
• Export-controlled data access restrictions apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations on the shop floor.
• Drive continuous improvement of plant performance metrics (quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, cash flow).
• Provide leadership for lean initiatives and CI oversight to reduce waste and WIP.
• Improve product flow and implement method improvements to reduce labor content.
• Develop and train supervisors and team leaders; manage department budgets.
• Collaborate with plant manager, engineers, and other locations to meet BU goals.
• Ensure safety, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
• Manage cost reductions and contribute to strategic planning.
