Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead the Heatset Department at Plant 65, ensuring Safety, Quality & Productivity KPI targets are met while upholding rules, regulations and compliance. The Department Manager is responsible for motivating, building, and empowering team members through effective leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years in manufacturing with 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading a team of supervisors and engineers preferred.
• Strong emphasis on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe and effective management of all department employees.
• Provide direction and leadership in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, and cost with strong emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Lead, develop and grow a team of supervisors and engineer(s) using the PX process.
• Provide strategic direction to a team of supervisors, engineer(s), and employees to support the overall strategic plan for the plant.
• Drive priorities through daily tier meetings; delivering written reports and presenting departmental performance as required.
• Engage with other department managers and support areas to ensure department and plant’s success.
• Provide direction and guidance to ensure relationships are built to grow a successful team.
• Communicate expectations, hold individuals accountable, and help guide decisions to ensure consistency is achieved across all shifts within the department.
