Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Chelmsford, MA seeks a Production Manager to oversee multiple manufacturing functions including machining, assembly, tool and die, and packaging. You will coordinate recruitment, training, performance, and rewards while guiding teams in a high-demand aerospace environment.

Ideal candidates bring a degree, supervisory background, strong communication with customers, and proven lean, Six Sigma, and MRP experience. U.S. citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Prior experience as a supervisor.
• Experience effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma / Flow.
• Demonstrated experience working with MRP systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to resolve conflicting priorities with complex resource constraints.
• Requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance, which requires U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple manufacturing areas (machining, assembly, tool and die, packaging).
• Coordinates subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
