Job summary

Cascades in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is seeking a Learning & Development Supervisor - Operations to lead the site training function for a 24/7 manufacturing operation, ensuring safety, capability, and continuous improvement.

You will build curricula, lead four unionized Training Coordinators, partner with operations, safety, and HR, and drive learning initiatives that align with business goals while fostering a culture of learning and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in Learning & Development or related areas in manufacturing.
• Experience leading training personnel or initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the site learning strategy aligned with goals.
• Lead a team of four unionized Training Coordinators, set priorities and develop staff.
• Build relationships with operations, safety, quality and HR leaders to close capability gaps.
• Design and improve training programs for hourly and salaried employees.
• Maintain training matrices, qualification standards, and development plans.
• Evaluate training effectiveness with performance metrics.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
• Update learning materials, procedures, and training docs.
• Apply adult learning principles and best practices for retention.
• Promote Lean manufacturing principles through learning initiatives.
