Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced End User Computing (EUC) Engineer to provide onsite IT support for a manufacturing facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.
The role focuses on delivering end-user support, desktop and laptop management, network troubleshooting, manufacturing plant IT support, and coordination with local and global IT teams to ensure reliable business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktop and laptop environments.
- Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Exchange Online.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Perform network troubleshooting involving switches, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, and related technologies.
- Support Cisco network infrastructure and collaborate with networking teams for issue resolution.
- Manage IT assets, device deployments, upgrades, and hardware replacements.
- Support manufacturing floor systems, barcode scanners, barcode printers, and label printers.
- Utilize ServiceNow for incident, request, and change management activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and ensure timely resolution of technical incidents.
- Coordinate with vendors and infrastructure teams during outages, upgrades, and maintenance windows.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and emergency response activities as required.
- Maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in End User Computing, Desktop Support, or related IT support roles.
- Strong expertise in Windows 10 and Windows 11 administration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hands-on knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
- Experience troubleshooting Dell and HP desktops and laptops.
- Printer, scanner, and peripheral device support experience.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or comparable IT Service Management (ITSM) tools.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Mandatory Networking Skills
- CCNA certification preferred, or equivalent Cisco networking experience.
- Solid understanding of:
- Cisco switches
- VLANs
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VPN technologies
- Wireless networking
- Network troubleshooting and diagnostics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki and Cisco Catalyst platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Knowledge of SCCM/MECM for endpoint management.
- PowerShell scripting experience.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and standards.
- Experience supporting shop-floor IT infrastructure.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- CCNA certification preferred.
- Microsoft certifications are considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple incidents in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer capabilities.
