Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the team for 20 hours per week, from January 11 to April 23. You will gain hands-on experience in an electronics manufacturing environment, assisting with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role supports design and improvement of processes, tooling, troubleshooting, and cross-department collaboration, with exposure to ROI studies and work instruction creation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program.
• Junior or Senior level, preferred. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline, preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes.
• Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing.
• Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields.
• Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained.
• Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment.
• Creating and updating work instructions.
• Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation.
