Amphenol Borisch Technologies (ABT) is offering a Quality Engineer Intern role in Grand Rapids, MI. The position is designed for engineering students to gain hands-on experience in quality systems during purchasing, inspection, and product launches.

The internship runs approximately 20 hours per week, with duties spanning process improvements, documentation, and quality planning. Strong Excel skills and communication are emphasized, and collaboration with the Quality Department is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related Quality field.
• Strong problem solving, statistical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Available to work at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Engineers in identifying opportunities for improvement to processes and products.
• Provide administrative support to Quality Department team members.
• Create Receiving Work Instructions for incoming product.
• Create quality plans to cascade customer requirements to manufacturing process and suppliers.
• Review FPI, FAI, Delta FPI, Delta FAI and qualification reports; assist in reporting.
• Establish PFMEAs.
• Support Keyence defect-reduction initiatives.
• COPQ analysis and improvement projects.
• Perform tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
