Manufacturing Industrial Painter (Metal)

Job Summary:
The Painter Technician is responsible for preparing and painting components and parts to meet quality and safety standards for shipping. (Further development needed.)

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS diploma or equivalency preferred; relevant experience considered.
• 6 months to 5 years of painting experience, including mixing and applying automotive-grade, three-part epoxy paint on assemblies.
• Ability to read, communicate in English, and interpret work instructions and standards.
• Proficiency with computers and database entry.
• Knowledge of measurement tools, tape measures, and basic math operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to safe work practices and paint waste disposal guidelines.
• Manage paint storage and handle large components with forklift experience.
• Disassemble and reassemble paint guns; troubleshoot paint systems.
• Follow general painting practices and communicate effectively with team members.
• Perform quality inspections and maintain organizational standards.
• Ensure a safe and compliant work environment, understanding equipment and manufacturing standards.
• Follow procedures for non-conforming materials and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Prepare and apply paint, inspect coating thickness, and monitor material levels.
• Maintain equipment, communicate with vendors, and report material or equipment issues.

Level 1 Performance Expectations:
- Competent in loading/unloading Powder Coat Line.
- Accurate in reading documents and detail-oriented.
- Timely work completion.
- Knowledge of department procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Lift up to 60 lbs., manipulate equipment, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate digital and control equipment requiring manual dexterity.
• Work indoors or outdoors, tolerating various weather conditions; environment may be noisy and active.
