Openwork is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a manufacturing client in Texas. You will oversee payroll for up to 90 employees, benefits administration, safety coordination, and HR operations reporting directly to the President/CEO.

This full‑cycle HR role requires hands‑on daily responsibilities, onboarding, open enrollment, OSHA logs, unemployment claims, and strong Paylocity and 401(k) administration experience. Flexibility and meticulous recordkeeping are essential in this on‑site role.

Qualifications

• Full-cycle HR management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience processing payroll for multiple employees.
• Experience with 401(k) administration and benefits.
• OSHA recordkeeping and safety documentation experience.
• Experience handling unemployment claims.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability.

Responsabilités

• Process weekly payroll for up to 90 employees with accurate time records, deductions, and changes.
• Administer 401(k) documentation, eligibility, enrollments, changes, and coordination with the plan administrator.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers on renewals, coverage questions, and required documentation.
• Lead onboarding, benefits orientations, changes, and annual open enrollment.
• Oversee recruiting, employee relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Respond to Texas Workforce Commission unemployment claims and coordinate hearings as needed.
• Maintain personnel files, policies, handbooks, and HR records.
• Maintain OSHA 300 logs and related records; track incidents and workers’ comp claims.
• Schedule safety meetings and document attendance, training, and follow-up actions.
• Coordinate CPR and other required trainings and track certifications.
• Track forklift and equipment inspections and repairs; maintain documentation for regulatory purposes.
• Coordinate and send COIs to customers for new business and other requirements.
• Support safety inspections and environmental documentation, including TCEQ records.
