Job Juncture in Texas is seeking an HR & Safety Manager to lead HR and safety operations in a busy industrial manufacturing setting. This role reports to the President/CEO and manages payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and safety programs on a one-person team.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader with manufacturing experience, capable of engaging shop employees daily and handling payroll and compliance responsibilities.

Competenze

• Broad HR generalist knowledge spanning employee relations, compensation, benefits, recruiting, organizational planning, and training and development.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee programs.
• Advise leadership on employee relations, performance management, organizational planning, and workforce needs.
• Guide managers through employee concerns, corrective action, and termination recommendations.
• Maintain HR records and reporting processes to support compliance.
• Coordinate employee orientation, training, and management development programs.
• Establish consistent recruiting, hiring, and placement practices.
• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Develop and administer wage and salary structures, pay policies, and performance appraisal programs.
• Oversee employee benefits, wellness programs, and related services.
• Coordinate with insurance brokers, carriers, retirement plan administrators, and other service providers.
• Maintain HR records and reporting processes to support compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
• Monitor regulatory requirements, coordinate required submissions, and serve as a primary contact for employment counsel and government agencies.
• Review HR policies and practices regularly and advise leadership on needed updates.
• Work with managers and supervisors to ensure consistent administration of HR programs.
• Administer workplace safety and health programs and maintain required OSHA documentation.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, and surveys to identify unsafe conditions and work practices.
• Coordinate corrective actions with management to help prevent accidents and injuries.
• Maintain accident and injury records and recommend improvements.
• Manage workers’ compensation claims and provide updates to leadership.
• Monitor the company’s TCEQ program and coordinate required documentation.
