Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a hands‑on HR Specialist to support hourly manufacturing staff and leaders in a fast‑paced production environment. You’ll own onboarding, attendance, leave administration, and HR compliance while partnering with production leaders on staffing and safety culture.

The role emphasizes employee relations, coaching, and policy interpretation, with a focus on building strong relationships on the factory floor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience considered
  • 5 years of HR related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with hourly employees and front‑line supervisors.
  • Experience managing onboarding, employee lifecycle management, HRIS administration, and compliance activities
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters and applying HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations
  • Experience administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and attendance programs.
  • Experience leading HR process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies
  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
  • Strong ability to build relationships and credibility, and influence employees, managers, and senior leaders across the organization
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to analyze HR data, develop workforce insights, and use metrics to support business decisions
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where priorities may change quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS and/or applicant tracking systems.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Workforce Support: Serve as a primary HR point of contact for hourly manufacturing employees, supervisors, and managers.
  • Build relationships on the manufacturing floor and respond to HR questions on policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, leave, and related matters.
  • Support supervisors with employee relations issues, coaching, performance management, corrective actions, and policy interpretation.
  • Conduct and document workplace investigations in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, safety‑focused workplace culture and partner with production leaders on staffing needs.
  • Coordinate new‑hire orientation and onboarding for success in the manufacturing environment.
  • Maintain onboarding documentation and complete required employment forms.
  • Support initiatives to improve new‑hire retention and employee experience.
  • Attendance, Leave & HR Administration: Administer and track attendance per policies.
  • Support leave‑of‑absence processes including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other programs.
  • Maintain HR records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Process changes: hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, terminations.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, payroll questions, and HR programs.
  • Compliance & Manufacturing HR: Ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Maintain HR documentation and support audits.
  • Partner with EHS, Operations, and leadership on safety and workers' compensation issues.
  • Build HR practices across multiple shifts and production schedules.
  • Assist with HR reporting and workforce metrics (headcount, turnover, absenteeism, vacancies, retention).
  • Identify trends and recommend HR process improvements.
