Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking an accomplished Human Resources Manager to partner with our plant leadership in Prosperity, SC. You will drive a high‑performance culture, oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll accuracy, and policy compliance while shaping engagement initiatives and organizational development.

You will supervise HR staff, manage leave and disputes, and collaborate with Corporate HR on comp, benefits, and communications to ensure consistent practices across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in supervisory or management role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal and South Carolina HR laws and regulations.
• Experience with HRIS systems; Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site operations leaders to design proactive employee relations programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract, hire, and retain talent across levels.
• Lead staffing and recruitment activities, including manpower planning and full-cycle recruiting.
• Manage onboarding, background checks, offers, and new hire paperwork.
• Maintain HR systems and payroll/employee records.
• Oversee leaves of absence, unemployment claims, and policy compliance.
• Conduct investigations and provide guidance on issue resolution.
• Lead training and development, including performance reviews and succession planning.
• Administer corrective action processes in alignment with company values.
• Collaborate with Corporate HR on communications, compensation, benefits, and policy development.
• Manage local compensation programs and wage rate administration.
• Support benefits administration and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with HR teams on cross-site projects and provide leadership to staff.
• Organize and oversee employee engagement and recognition events.
