Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to lead HR for the Waterville manufacturing complex. This hands-on role partners with site leadership, oversees labor and employee relations, and drives talent management and organizational effectiveness. A unionized workforce and a results-oriented culture define the position.

The role requires 8+ years in HR, 5+ years in leadership, and experience with collective bargaining. On-site presence is required, with limited travel.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including manufacturing
• 5+ years of HR leadership experience
• Experience supporting a unionized workforce and administering collective bargaining agreements
• Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and drive business results

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leadership to align people strategies with business objectives and operational goals
• Foster a positive employee relations environment through open communication and policy consistency
• Lead employee and labor relations activities including contract administration and investigations
• Participate in labor strategy development and collective bargaining activities
• Coach leaders on performance management, development, succession, and organizational effectiveness
• Oversee recruiting, talent development, employee engagement, and retention initiatives
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and HR programs
• Lead and develop a small HR team while maintaining hands-on presence on the floor
• Champion safety, inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement
