Job summary

Materion Brewster, NY facility seeks a trusted HR Manager to lead high-impact HR functions in a growing manufacturing site with approximately 80 employees, including staffing, performance management, talent development, and employee relations.

Reporting to the HR Director, you will partner with leadership, drive HR programs, build an inclusive culture, lead apprenticeship expansion, and ensure compliance with employment laws and internal processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with a background in HR or related field.
• Minimum of five years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least two years of supervisory or project-lead experience.
• Experience in a collaborative, matrixed environment with results.
• IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in conflict resolution and workplace investigations.
• Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; cross-functional work.
• Solid project management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as HR business partner to the Brewster Leadership Team.
• Deploy HR processes and initiatives to support business objectives and people agenda.
• Build positive relationships and advise leaders and employees.
• Participate in HR continuous improvement initiatives locally and globally.
• Stay current on employment law and trends affecting the business.
• Lead apprenticeship program development and expansion across sites.
• Operationalize talent reviews and succession planning.
