Johns Manville Corp - Berkshire Hathaway in Ohio seeks a Human Resources Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting HR functions within manufacturing operations.

You will work with union and non-union facilities on employee relations, recruiting, training, compliance, and workforce analytics, collaborating with plant HR leaders.

The internship offers exposure to multiple HR disciplines and opportunities to contribute to projects and learn about HR's role in manufacturing success.

Formación

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in HR/Business.
• Sophomore year completed.
• Strong interest in HR, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and/or Manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated with willingness to learn.
• Willingness to travel periodically to nearby facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist hourly recruiting activities including screening, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation.
• Support employee engagement and recognition programs and suggest improvements.
• Analyze HR metrics such as turnover and staffing levels.
• Shadow HR professionals across facilities to gain exposure to HR practices.
• Assist with labor relations activities and contract administration prep.
• Participate in cross-functional HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to support workforce needs.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
