Job summary

Novolex in Kinston, NC seeks an HR Generalist to provide hands-on HR support for a population of ~250 employees at the Kinston plant. You will help with safety, policy administration, FMLA/ADA, employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and audits, while partnering with plant leadership to staff the site.

Ideal candidates hold a BA/BS in HR, 3–5 years in manufacturing HR, strong communication skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in HR or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years HR experience in manufacturing.
• Familiar with FMLA and ADA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to Kinston plant population of ~250 employees.
• Resolve HR and operational issues including safety, policy administration, FMLA/ADA/STD, payroll, benefits, onboarding and audits.
• Coordinate with plant leadership to determine hiring needs and staffing levels.
• Coordinate hiring of new employees and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Advise and coach leadership on policy application and conduct.
• Handle investigations and provide recommendations; support unemployment claims.
