Schafer Industries in South Bend, IN is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, training, and employee relations in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will partner with supervisors and the HR Manager to ensure regulatory compliance, accurate HR records, and a positive workplace culture while advancing workforce development and safety programs.

Formación

• 3–5 years HR experience in manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.

Responsabilidades

• Review applications and support recruiting efforts for hourly and skilled manufacturing positions.
• Conduct candidate screening and phone interviews.
• Schedule interviews and manage candidate communications.
• Attend job fairs and community recruiting events.
• Maintain recruiting metrics and applicant tracking systems.
• Coordinate pre-employment activities.
• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Complete HRIS entries and hiring documentation.
• Maintain employee personnel files and onboarding records.
• Prepare identification badges, training schedules, and onboarding materials.
