Job summary

Global Power Components is seeking an HR Business Partner at our Milwaukee site. You will serve as the primary contact for day-to-day employee relations, own ER cases from intake to resolution, coach supervisors on performance, and ensure policy consistency across operations.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will balance hands-on casework with proactive coaching, collaborate with operations leadership, and contribute to workforce planning.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of HR experience with direct ER case ownership.
• Demonstrated experience managing employee relations casework, including investigations and documentation.
• Comfort coaching frontline supervisors through difficult performance conversations.
• Sound judgment applying policy and escalation when needed.
• Strong presence with operations leadership and hourly employees.
• Ability to manage an active caseload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field, or equivalent HR experience.
• Experience with Workday or comparable HRIS preferred.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own standard employee relations cases end-to-end: intake, fact-gathering, investigation, recommendation, and final documentation.
• Conduct workplace investigations following the company's framework with confidentiality.
• Document case findings and recommendations per company standards.
• Interpret and apply HR policies consistently; escalate when outside standard precedent.
• Coach supervisors through performance conversations and document appropriately.
• Help supervisors distinguish between performance, conduct, and situational factors.
• Partner with operations leaders on daily workforce issues such as attendance and engagement.
• Build trust with operations leadership as a go-to HR resource.
• Provide site-level input into workforce planning and flag turnover/attendance trends.
• Escalate complex or high-risk matters to the HR Manager with context and next steps.
• Support site HR initiatives and process improvements.
• Maintain a visible HR presence on the floor to enable early intervention.
