Job summary

Our Client, a prominent Southeast boat manufacturer, seeks a Finance leader to drive budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and strategic decision support.

The Accounting Manager partners with the CFO and Controller, oversees the Financial Analyst, and focuses on forward-looking analysis, cost visibility, and profitability across manufacturing operations. This on-site role in Florida offers growth opportunities and a measurable impact on business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; master’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in accounting, FP&A, financial analysis, cost accounting, or a related role.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred, including exposure to inventory, BOMs, standard costing, and variances.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and management reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with automation, such as Power BI dashboards or AI modeling, driving actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning including P&L forecasts, cash flow projections, working capital analysis, and departmental budgets.
• Develop financial models, scenario analysis, and business cases to support strategic decisions.
• Manage and develop the Financial Analyst role, setting priorities and reviewing analysis and reporting.
• Manage annual pricing and standards to maintain profitability.
• Publish dealer inventory status with retail sales data to track trends.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to improve cost visibility and profitability.
• Analyze product costs, bills of material, inventory, labor, and manufacturing data for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Provide sales, product, customer, and margin analysis to support planning and decisions.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and recurring management reporting for CFO and leadership.
• Support month-end and year-end processes with Controller for aligned reporting.
• Assist in ERP, financial reporting, and BI system implementation and improvements.
• Conduct special projects and additional analysis as requested by CFO.
