Job summary

Cannon Industries, a global sheet metal and custom weld fabricator headquartered in Rochester, NY, seeks a Manufacturing Floater. The role shifts between welding, CNC, punch press, brake press, laser, turret, finishing/grinding, shipping, and assembly as the biggest daily needs arise, under the Plant Supervisor.

You will help meet production goals, adhere to quality standards, and adapt to various tasks within a single day, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 1–50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints preferred.
• Knowledge of the metric system preferred.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documentation, etc.
• Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards

Responsibilities

• Safely operates machinery in various departments to help meet production goals.
• Operates machinery in various departments to help meet production goals, including Machine Operator, Assembly, Spot Welding & Grinding
• Works with Plant Manager to determine where he/she should work that day
• Meet quality and performance measures in accordance with Company standards
• Ability to be flexible and perform a wide variety of functions within a working day
