Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. is seeking a seasoned Fixed Assets Accountant to oversee asset accounting across manufacturing operations in Houston.

You will manage capitalization, transfers, impairment testing, and CIP oversight while maintaining subledger accuracy and GL reconciliation. The role partners with operations, engineering, procurement, and finance to optimize asset utilization, support capital project accounting, and ensure GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience with fixed assets.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, energy, EPC, modular construction, or heavy equipment preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, from capitalization to disposal including capitalization, transfers and impairment testing.
• Maintain the fixed asset subledger and ensure reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual fixed asset reporting packages.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal controls.
• Maintain reconciliations of capital expenditures (CapEx) and asset classifications.
• Monitor construction-in-progress (CIP) projects and coordinate timely asset capitalization.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and project management teams to track capital projects and equipment installations.
• Conduct periodic physical inventory audits of machinery, tooling, equipment, and facilities assets.
• Analyze asset utilization and support operational efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to reconcile between multiple reporting systems
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to capital expenditures and depreciation.
