Job summary

Somic America Inc. seeks an Assistant Controller to lead accounting, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls across two manufacturing plants.

You will manage the month‑end close, inventory accounting, standard costing, budgeting, and compliance initiatives while partnering with plant leadership to improve profitability and financial processes. The role requires deep GAAP knowledge, manufacturing finance experience, and strong Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance required.
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing focus preferred.
• ERP experience in manufacturing environment required.
• Automotive manufacturing or Tier 1/2 supplier background preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements per US GAAP.
• Manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and analyses.
• Maintain GL integrity and support audits and lender reporting.
• Oversee standard costing, variances, and BOMs for cost control.
• Monitor inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventories.
• Partner with plant management to identify cost reduction and efficiency gains.
• Assist with capex analysis, project justification, and post‑investment reviews.
