Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Operations Financial Analyst to partner with manufacturing, supply chain, and program leadership. You will provide financial analysis, forecasting, and decision support focused on inventory, material costs, and working capital.

The role emphasizes cost accounting, manufacturing variances, and operational performance, translating data into actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, operations finance, or a related discipline.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial manufacturing, or complex manufacturing preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, inventory management, and cost accounting principles.
• Experience analyzing inventory, WIP, standard costs, PPV, labor, overhead, and variances.
• Advanced Excel skills: modeling, pivots, lookups, Power Query, data analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to convey complex financial information to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Program Management to evaluate performance.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and monthly reports.
• Analyze manufacturing labor, materials, overhead, scrap, rework, and other costs.
• Monitor actuals against budget, forecast, standard cost, and targets.
• Investigate variances and provide root-cause analysis and recommendations.
• Support make-vs-buy, capacity, production scheduling, outsourcing, and other decisions.
• Develop KPIs to measure efficiency, cost, and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
