Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing, ensure safety and quality, and drive production planning and continuous improvement. The role requires coordinating with multiple functions to meet customer commitments and enable long-term growth.

Responsibilities include developing production plans, managing resources, solving operational constraints, and delivering metrics-driven performance across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations, manufacturing, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams and improving manufacturing processes and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage manufacturing operations
• Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules
• Monitor capacity, labor utilization, and bottlenecks
• Ensure QA/QC requirements are met and safety standards followed
• Provide strong floor leadership and visible presence
• Prepare regular production reports and KPIs for leadership
