Job summary

Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the Tarboro manufacturing facility’s financial operations. The role partners with plant leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and robust cost and inventory management.

Key duties include leading monthly close, financial reporting, variance analysis, and SOP/SOX related activities, while mentoring accounting staff and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Analyze financial results and variances to budget, forecast, and prior year performance.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and company policies.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes and accuracy.
• Partner with Operations to identify cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Assist with SOX compliance requirements where applicable.
• Provide guidance to accounting staff and serve as backup to Plant Controller.
