Job summary

Tidal Recruiting is seeking a Plant Controller for a Baltimore-area manufacturing facility to lead accounting and financial operations. This hands-on role partners with plant leadership to drive financial performance and provide meaningful business insight.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, inventory & cost accounting, KPIs, internal controls, audits, and leading the accounting team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience.
• Experience with inventory, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong ERP and Excel skills.
• Ability to work hands-on while effectively partnering with operations and senior leadership.
• CPA or CMA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial reporting for the manufacturing facility.
• Manage month-end close, financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with plant and operations leadership on financial performance, costs, margins, and productivity.
• Oversee inventory, cost accounting, standard costs, and manufacturing variances.
• Develop and monitor financial KPIs and provide actionable analysis to management.
• Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and financial systems.
• Support annual audits, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
• Lead and develop the accounting team.
