Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC. has an immediate opening for an Assistant Controller Finance to join our Finance team at our Buford, GA location.

As an Assistant Controller Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire month-end closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, focusing on operations controlling e.g. variance analysis of production orders, standard cost calculations and identification of saving potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields; 5-7 years of financial analysis and cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• SAP experience (R/3 or S/4) preferred; strong MS Office and BI tool skills.
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory control and cost system design.
• Ability to automate calculations and use analytical software for reporting and decision support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate product costing including governance of standard cost updates and cost simulations.
• Review production order variances and prepare variance reports for leadership.
• Monitor inventory development and coordinate reduction measures with internal stakeholders.
• Support month-end closing, planning, forecast, budget and financial reporting processes.
• Lead and manage all controlling and financial issues to support site growth.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory for three plants.
• Assist with annual year-end audit.
• Manage tariff, obsolescence, NRV and freight analysis and reporting.
• Develop relationships with Shared Service Center and corporate Controlling in Germany.
