Job summary

UNITY is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and oversee cost accounting and inventory controls while partnering with Operations and Engineering to improve profitability.

The role requires 5–8+ years of accounting experience, strong US GAAP knowledge, and NetSuite ERP familiarity. CPA preferred; manufacturing or engineered products experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Manufacturing, inventory, and cost accounting experience.
• NetSuite ERP experience.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and technical accounting analyses.
• Oversee inventory, cost accounting, manufacturing variances, and standard costing.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Project Management to improve profitability and inventory accuracy.
• Support external audits, tax reporting, cash management, and treasury activities.
• Help strengthen internal controls and contribute to public company readiness initiatives.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and ERP reporting enhancements.
