Job summary

Heraeus Quartz North America, LLC in Buford, GA, is seeking an Assistant Controller Finance. This role oversees month-end close, product costing governance, and variance analysis to drive efficiency.

You will collaborate with global teams to ensure compliant and accurate reporting and support site growth. You will lead financial processes, manage inventories, audits, and cost analyses while building strong relationships with the Shared Service Center and Germany Controlling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields.
• 5-7 years of financial analysis and cost accounting experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with production cost analysis and variance reporting.
• SAP experience (R/3 or S/4) preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and BI-tools like Analysis for Office and Qlik Sense.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end closing processes and financial reporting.
• Perform product costing governance and standard cost updates.
• Analyze production order variances and prepare leadership reports.
• Track inventory development and coordinate reduction initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting processes.
• Lead controlling activities and provide hands-on support for site growth.
• Coordinate annual physical inventory for three plants.
• Assist with annual year-end audit.
• Manage tariff, obsolescence, NRV and freight analysis and reporting.
