Job summary

thyssenkrupp Elevator in Fort Worth, TX seeks an experienced Controller to lead Finance & Accounting for manufacturing operations. You will manage cost accounting, currency risk, and month-end close, aligning financial processes with production goals.

The role requires strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, ERP expertise (SAP CO/FI, Oracle Manufacturing, MS Dynamics), and proven leadership to develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field required; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting (standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation) and P&L analysis.
• Experience managing foreign currency transactions in a manufacturing context; hedge accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Financial Control: oversee GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reporting with IFRS/GAAP compliance.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory Management: standard costing, variance analysis, BOM reviews, inventory valuation, physical counts.
• Foreign Currency Transactions: manage FX exposures, hedge accounting, cross-border procurement/sales
• Deadline & Compliance Management: ensure timely month-/quarter-/year-end closings and reporting deadlines.
• Team Leadership: mentor and develop finance and accounting professionals.
• Process Improvement: optimize financial systems and internal controls in a manufacturing setting.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with operations, supply chain, treasury, tax, and audit.
