Job summary

Dometic is seeking an Accountant in Elkhart, Indiana to lead plant‑level financial reporting, cost accounting, forecasting, and the monthly close in a manufacturing environment. You will partner with operations to drive profitability, manage asset accounting, support capital projects, and maintain internal controls while delivering accurate insights for decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting and/or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly required.
• PLEX ERP experience preferred.
• Experience with financial close processes, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
• Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-level financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting activities.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including the general ledger.
• Deliver timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end closes.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Analyze financial results, variances, KPIs, and trends.
• Provide analyses and reports for management as requested.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
• Partner with operations to drive productivity and profitability.
• Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analyses.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and FA inventory.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
