  • Strong metrics and reporting capabilities, with the ability to establish meaningful KPIs and use data to drive decisions.
  • Highly proactive mindset—able to identify infrastructure needs and risks before they impact production.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Engineering, Manufacturing, EHS, Quality, IT, Finance, and Operations.
  • Hands-on understanding of manufacturing infrastructure, including electrical, compressed air, HVAC, utilities, equipment hook-ups, ESD and FOD environments, and facility modifications as needed with manufacturing.
  • ITAR facility/security experience or the ability to quickly develop proficiency with ITAR-related physical facility requirements, including holding visitors and vendors accountable to visitor requirements as needed for facilities operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day facilities operation of an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring the facility, utilities, infrastructure, and manufacturing support systems are safe, reliable, compliant, and capable of meeting production requirements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing on product integration, new product introductions, manufacturing scale-up, product line development, and production expansion, ensuring facility infrastructure is ready to support new products and processes.
  • Lead facility readiness for new equipment and manufacturing lines, coordinating requirements for electrical power, compressed air, HVAC, cooling, ventilation, utilities, structural needs, and other facility infrastructure.
  • Proactively anticipate facility requirements associated with business growth, new equipment, new products, changes in production volume, and manufacturing process changes rather than reacting after requirements emerge.
  • Manage facility-related projects from concept through completion, including scope development, quoting, contractor selection, scheduling, execution, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Develop and manage project quotes and budgets, evaluating vendor proposals, comparing costs, establishing project estimates, tracking expenditures, and ensuring projects remain aligned with approved budgets.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen by understanding the financial and operational impact of facility decisions and balancing safety, reliability, capacity, timing, and cost.
  • Establish, maintain, and report facilities metrics, providing leadership with visibility into facility performance, maintenance, project status, costs, utilities, safety actions, and other key operational indicators.
  • Maintain working knowledge of OSHA requirements and ensure facility activities, contractors, and projects are conducted in accordance with applicable safety requirements. OSHA-30 certification is strongly preferred.
  • Partner closely with EHS and the Safety Committee to identify hazards, address corrective actions, support inspections and audits, improve safety practices, and maintain a proactive safety culture.
  • Collaborate with EHS experts and internal stakeholders on facility-related environmental, health, safety, emergency preparedness, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and maintain ITAR facility requirements, including appropriate physical access, contractor controls, restricted areas, escort procedures, and facility practice necessary to protect controlled information and operations while vendors / contractors are on site.
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers, including scope development, quoting, contract/service expectations, safety compliance, scheduling, performance, and cost management.
  • Coordinate facility modifications and equipment installations with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, IT, EHS, and external contractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal impact to manufacturing.
  • Monitor facility operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities, including utilities, maintenance, contracted services, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in facility reliability, safety, cost efficiency, energy usage, project execution, and responsiveness to manufacturing needs.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams, providing clear updates on facility performance, project progress, risks, budget status, and recommendations
