Job summary

IEM is seeking a Senior Facilities & Equipment Manager to oversee 800k+ sq ft of manufacturing, office, and warehouse spaces. This role reports to the Director of Facilities and requires leadership across multiple sites along the East Coast, with travel to additional locations as needed.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in facilities management within manufacturing environments, strong supervisory and budget skills, and proven ability to drive compliant, cost-effective infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent blend of experience, education and/or certifications
• 8+ years broad facilities management experience in manufacturing, office and warehouse environments
• 7+ years supervisory experience in Facilities including people, project management and budgetary responsibilities
• Experience working with governmental agencies for permitting and approval of complex projects
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience providing efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers
• Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Vendor management and negotiation experience
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience
• Strong facility-related (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC) assessment and troubleshooting skills
• Partner with EHS to ensure safety and compliance of the facility and capital projects

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage 800k+ sq ft of manufacturing, office and warehouse space
• Manage multiple facilities along the East Coast and potentially across the Midwest
• Ensure site standards, policies, compliance and scalable operations
• Plan and implement equipment upgrades and cost-control measures
• Coordinate system repairs and monitor performance
• Maintain facility infrastructure including HVAC, electrical and plumbing
• Set priorities for site improvements and major maintenance
• Ensure 24/7 uninterrupted facilities support
• Develop vendor relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
• Collaborate with EHS for safety and compliance
