Ford Motor Company invites manufacturing engineers to lead a key new model development program, applying lean principles to deliver high-quality, efficient processes. The role requires coordinating with design, release, tooling and facilities teams across North America, and will involve travel and on-site work at assembly plants.

You will develop AutoCad layouts, drive tooling specifications, and maintain cycle-time improvements while supporting launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in AutoCad with a focus on layouts.
• Willingness to travel to North American assembly plants for launches (9+ months).

Responsibilities

• Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program from concept to launch.
• Develop tooling and facilities master layouts based on product and process.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles and lead virtual manufacturing builds.
• Drive resolution of manufacturing issues and track exit criteria deliverables.
• Interface with Design and Release, tool design, and facilities activities.
• Prepare management presentations and drive improvements in quality, cost, layout, and labor.
• Support new model launches with extensive travel and plant presence.
