Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is hiring a Manufacturing Extrusion Operator in Boones Creek, TN. The role offers $21 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour attendance bonus, with full-time or temp-to-hire options. Work largely indoors with variations in temperature, noise, and dust, including occasional third shift.

The operator will maintain melt spun equipment, perform setup, inspections, and safety procedures while documenting production and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 compliance. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least one year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic computer, communication, reading, writing, and math skills, including calculations and percentages.
• Good hand coordination and dexterity.
• Ability to stand for duration of shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain melt spun equipment for man-made fiber production.
• Identify, assemble, disassemble, clean, and service spinning machine components, packs, extruders, godet rolls, finish systems, winders, dryers, and related parts.
• Set up extruders and finish solutions to product and quality specifications.
• Use suction tools, instrumentation panels, and quality testing equipment to start, string, doff, test, and verify process conditions.
• Perform prep work, machine presetting, routine checks, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance to keep equipment within tolerance.
• Inspect and test materials to ensure denier and quality requirements are met.
