The CEO of the Americas has a bold vision to transform the robotics industry across the region by rallying the AMER team around a mission rooted in customer obsession—not simply robotic functionality. At Hai Robotics, success begins with understanding our customers' challenges and delivering innovative automation solutions that drive measurable impact.
As Hai Robotics continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities in the United States, we are seeking an experienced MES Engineer (Manufacturing Execution Systems) to support the digitalization, implementation, integration, and ongoing optimization of systems supporting our U.S. manufacturing operations.
This role will serve as a key bridge between manufacturing operations, business teams, IT, system vendors, and Hai Robotics Headquarters in China. The MES Engineer will manage requirements and implementation activities across the factory's Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) ecosystem, including MES, QMS, ERP, WMS, and related digital manufacturing platforms.
The ideal candidate combines hands‑on manufacturing systems experience with strong business process analysis, project implementation, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional communication skills. Experience independently delivering a manufacturing systems implementation from initial requirements through go‑live and stabilization is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
MES & Manufacturing Digitalization
- Manage the full lifecycle of requirements for digitalization initiatives within the U.S. manufacturing facility, including business requirements gathering, process analysis and mapping, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-launch optimization.
- Support the design, implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of the factory's Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and broader Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) environment.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to understand production processes, identify operational pain points, and translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
- Develop process flows, functional requirements, system specifications, and other documentation required to support manufacturing digitalization initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing efficiency, data accuracy, traceability, quality, and operational visibility through technology.
MES, QMS & MOM Platform Management
- Manage business and system requirements for the U.S. factory's MOM platforms, including MES, Quality Management System (QMS), and related production systems.
- Lead or support requirements analysis, solution design, configuration, functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and go‑live activities.
- Coordinate issue resolution and system enhancements with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Support system integration and data flow between manufacturing platforms and other enterprise systems.
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
ERP & WMS Integration
- Support requirements management and implementation activities involving the factory's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms.
- Gather and document business requirements related to materials management, inventory, production planning, warehousing, and manufacturing operations.
- Support solution development, system configuration, functional testing, UAT, rollout, and stabilization.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and other teams to ensure effective integration between ERP, WMS, MES, and related systems.
Application & Factory IT Support
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for business applications deployed within the U.S. manufacturing facility and office.
- Troubleshoot application issues, coordinate root-cause analysis, and elevate complex technical problems to the appropriate internal or external technical teams.
- Partner with the IT Infrastructure team at Hai Robotics Headquarters in China to support resolution of onsite IT issues affecting business operations.
- Provide basic onsite IT support when necessary, including assistance with desktop issues, network connectivity, printers, user accounts, access permissions, and office technology.
- Help ensure manufacturing and business systems remain available, reliable, and capable of supporting uninterrupted factory operations.
- Establish appropriate issue escalation processes and coordinate resolution across U.S. teams, Headquarters, and system vendors.
- Develop user documentation, standard operating procedures, system guides, process documentation, and troubleshooting materials.
- Conduct system and process training for manufacturing employees and other end users.
- Establish and maintain knowledge repositories for common system issues, solutions, and best practices.
- Support post‑implementation reviews and identify opportunities to improve system functionality, processes, and user adoption.
- Complete additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing, supporting, or maintaining MES, ERP, WMS, or related manufacturing systems within a discrete manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience participating in or independently delivering at least one end-to-end (0-to-1) manufacturing systems implementation, from requirements gathering and solution design through testing, deployment, go‑live, and stabilization.
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing operations and business processes, including production, materials management, inventory, quality, and warehouse operations.
- Strong experience with business requirements gathering, requirements analysis, business process mapping, functional design, and user acceptance testing.
- Ability to translate manufacturing business requirements into functional and technical system requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, IT, Finance, and other functions.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams across different cultures and time zones.
- Ability to work onsite at Hai Robotics' Alpharetta, Georgia office and manufacturing facility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience independently leading the planning, implementation, and deployment of an MES, ERP, or WMS platform from initial blueprint through full production rollout.
- Hands-on experience with Hualei MES, Kingdee ERP, TTX WMS, or comparable manufacturing technology platforms.
- Experience integrating MES with ERP, WMS, QMS, production equipment, or other manufacturing systems.
- Previous experience working for a technology consulting firm, systems integrator, MES/ERP implementation provider, or manufacturing technology vendor.
- Familiarity with structured implementation methodologies such as Agile, ADM, or similar enterprise system implementation frameworks.
- Experience delivering manufacturing technology projects within U.S.-based manufacturing facilities or supporting international/overseas manufacturing implementations.
- Understanding of U.S. manufacturing business practices and regulatory requirements relevant to manufacturing operations.
- Experience supporting manufacturing system go-lives, stabilization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams at Hai Robotics Headquarters in China is strongly preferred.
