Position Summary
The Operations Lead – Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, administration, adoption, and operational support of the Manufacturing Execution System supporting Phoenix manufacturing operations.
This role serves as the operational owner of MES execution and acts as the primary liaison between Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Engineering, Training, Logistics, and the Digital Systems Integration organization. The Operations Lead ensures the MES platform is configured, maintained, and utilized in a manner that supports production objectives, workforce effectiveness, quality compliance, and operational visibility.
Working under the direction of the Operations Manager – Digital Systems Integration, this role is responsible for translating business processes into executable MES workflows while ensuring system usability, data accuracy, reporting integrity, and cross-functional adoption.
The Operations Lead will play a critical role during facility stand‑up, Assembly launch, and subsequent Fabrication activation by ensuring MES capabilities mature alongside operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
MES Deployment & Operational Readiness
- Support deployment and operationalization of the selected Manufacturing Execution System.
- Coordinate activities related to:
- System implementation
- User acceptance testing (UAT)
- Go-live preparation
- Configuration validation
- Process mapping
- Workflow deployment
- Operational readiness assessments
- Ensure MES workflows align with approved production processes and operating procedures.
- Support successful transition from implementation to sustained operations.

- Work directly with operational stakeholders to align MES functionality with production requirements.

- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and improve workflow efficiency.

- Own day-to-day oversight of production transaction integrity.

- Assembly is expected to be the first major operational activation area.
- The MES Lead will support:

- Partner closely with Assembly leadership during launch activities to validate workflow effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.

- Ensure lessons learned during Assembly deployment are incorporated into Fabrication implementation.

- 5–8+ years of experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems in manufacturing, industrial, semiconductor, electronics assembly, or data center manufacturing environments
