Job description

Lyten is leading an industrial revolution through Lyten 3D Graphene™, a breakthrough supermaterial unlocking a new generation of products — from lithium–sulfur batteries and energy storage systems to concrete admixtures, lightweight composites, and next‑generation sensors that are revolutionizing industries. Together, these innovations are making a massive global improvement and driving real‑world impact across energy, mobility, construction, and defense.

At Lyten, we believe the most meaningful careers begin with purpose — and with people who want to make a difference. We’re not just developing advanced supermaterials — we’re about to change the world as we know it, reshaping how energy is stored, how products are built, and how progress is made.

We’re entering an exciting growth phase, scaling production across the U.S. and Europe and expanding our team of engineers, scientists, and innovators.

We are seeking a Manufacturing Systems Analyst with experience implementing and supporting the Siemens Opcenter MOM platform in complex manufacturing environments. This role focuses on production execution, MES data modeling, and manufacturing analytics, partnering closely with customer stakeholders and IT teams. Experience supporting MES in battery manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement, configure, and support Siemens Opcenter MES for production execution, quality, and traceability.
  • Partner with customer stakeholders to translate manufacturing requirements into robust MES models.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize MES database models that support transactional manufacturing data and reporting.
  • Develop and support SQL-based reports and datasets for production performance, quality investigations, and KPI reporting.
  • Integrate MES with PLC and SCADA systems to capture equipment states and production events; demonstrate strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT, as well as shop‑floor hardware connectivity.
  • Support ERP‑to‑MES and other third‑party system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot issues with customer stakeholders and improve data reliability across manufacturing systems.
  • Support system upgrades, validation activities, and controlled changes with minimal impact to production.
  • Provide user support, documentation, and training as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management and/or business needs.
Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in related field OR Master’s degree in related field AND 3+ years of experience supporting or implementing MES solutions in a manufacturing environment OR Bachelor’s degree in related field AND 5+ years of experience supporting or implementing MES solutions in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Siemens Opcenter MES (Execution, Quality, or APS).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing execution, genealogy, traceability, and quality processes.
  • Hands‑on experience with relational databases and MES data structures.
  • Proficiency with SQL (queries, views, stored procedures) for reporting and analysis.
  • Experience integrating MES with automation and SCADA systems (e.g., OPC UA, REST, SOAP, XML‑RPC, JSON‑RPC APIs, and Web Services).
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, Jython, C, C#, C++, and/or SQL.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally across manufacturing, quality, automation, and IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting MES in battery or similar discrete high‑volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting ERP, SCADA (Ignition), and other third‑party integrations with manufacturing systems.
  • Familiarity with ISA‑95, ISA‑88, and Industry 4.0 standards.
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and machine learning applications in manufacturing.
Working Conditions
  • Availability for limited travel (domestic and international) for discovery, deployment, and support.
  • Flexibility to support cutovers, validations, system maintenance, or critical events outside standard business hours.
