Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc. in Grandview, MO, seeks a Roof Runner Operations Manager to lead safety, budget, inventory, and day-to-day functions for the Roof Runner group.

You will oversee lease programs, process orders, provide technical support to builders, and maintain equipment readiness while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Strong leadership and analytics drive efficiency and cost control at the Grandview facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 2 years metal building experience and 1 year of management experience.
• Knowledge of Compass and order processing is preferred.
• Mechanical experience and related technical degrees are a plus.

The Roof Runner group provides builders with rental/leased/purchased equipment and technical expertise on that equipment. This equipment and expertise is vital to ensuring our builders properly seam our roof panels. The Roof Runner Operations manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the department. This includes, but is not limited to safety, budget, inventory, billing, shipping and other day to day functions. In addition, the roof runner operations manager is responsible for the facility maintenance functions of the Grandview office, including yard, building, and general maintenance.

Job Duties

• Ensure safe operation and proper safety training for employees
• Manage roof runner lease program
• Oversee and assist with order processing including initiation of lease agreements
• Monitor and track budget
• Provide technical support within the company and to outside builders/erectors
• Maintain inventory levels for lease equipment and spare parts
• Oversee day to day operations and manage roof runner employees

Education & Experience

• Minimum: 2-years metal building experience
• 1-year management experience
• Knowledge of Compass
• Knowledge of Microsoft office and Excel work book
• Competent with Compass and order processing
• Preferred: 2 or 4-year technical degree
• Mechanical experience
• Butler Product knowledge
• Machine shop experience
