Job summary

BlueScope North America is seeking an experienced Roof Runner Operations Manager at the Grandview, MO facility. You will oversee all aspects of the Roof Runner department, including safety, budgeting, inventory, billing, shipping and daily functions.

The role requires metal building experience and at least 1 year in management, with proficiency in Compass and Excel. You will lead a team, manage lease programs, and ensure efficient order processing and maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years metal building experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Knowledge of Compass.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel work book.
• Competent with Compass and order processing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation and proper safety training for employees.
• Manage roof runner lease program.
• Oversee and assist with order processing including initiation of lease agreements.
• Monitor and track budget.
• Provide technical support within the company and to outside builders/erectors.
• Maintain inventory levels for lease equipment and spare parts.
• Oversee day to day operations and manage roof runner employees.

The Roof Runner group provides builders with rental/leased/purchased equipment and technical expertise on that equipment. This equipment and expertise is vital to ensuring our builders properly seam our roof panels.

The Roof Runner Operations manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the department. This includes, but is not limited to safety, budget, inventory, billing, shipping and other day to day functions.

In addition, the roof runner operations manager is responsible for the facility maintenance functions of the Grandview office, including yard, building, and general maintenance.

Job Duties

Minimum

Education & Experience

Preferred

• 2 or 4-year technical degree
• Mechanical experience
• Butler Product knowledge
• Machine shop experience
